It is a miracle! I now have perfect vision! I can See. I am so thank to God for allowing me to have LASIK eye surgery yesterday. I say it is a miracle because God is the creator of science and technology. Jesus healed me with a laser. In Jesus' days He healed blindeness with saliva, today he can do it with technology. I feel very humbled and immensly grateful for such a precious gift. When I began to consider whether i should do the LASIK or not, I thought, 'God did not create humans to be blind, but sin entered the world our bodies pay the consequences in having bodies that decay or are not in the original state of being as in creation- perfect. However God'S loving mercy provided a way as he always does to pay the way for me to have the vision I should have --20/20. God not only desires to restore our sight, God desires to restore our hearts, souls, minds, our whole being. He loves you so much He has made a way for you to be restored through the price His Son Jesus paid for us. He rose from that death because He is Victorious.
Jesus is Victorious in whatever situation we may have. All he asks is that we come to Him and ask Him to be Our LORD and Savior.
Was I nervous?...A little, but I prayed, "God I am your child, I am the apple of your eye, your thoughts for me are more than the sand of the oceans, you remind those doctors, techs, nurses who I am, and that you are the Boss."
As I nervously began to feel and see all that the Dr. began to do to my eyes, I felt Jesus' peace comfort me, remimding me of His promises. A favorite song that comes from Psalm 40 kept resounding in my head, and I kept singing "Jesus, lover of my soul, Jesus I will never let you go, you've taken me from the miry clay, set my foot upon a rock, and now I know, I love you, I need you, though my world may fall, I will never let you go. My savior, my closest friend! I will worship you until the very end". ....What comfort I had in knowing that Jesus was protecting me, that He was my physician and is Victorious!
I am also grateful that because of Him he has given me a Husband Carlos Valencia, who love me and works hard to care for his wife. He spoils me .
I have always known that God will one day have us living overseas. With my new vision, I wont have to worry about my contacts, glasses, or prescriptions. This brings us a stepper to that day where we will serve in other countries.
I cannot adequately express in words how grateful I am. Glory to God that Jesus' mercies are new every morning, He is Faithful and Trustworthy.
